Workshop Programmatic Design Lead.Geoff Hunt
Geoff Hunt is the Director of Strategy and Partnerships for Connecting Genetics to Climate, a program focused on facilitating dialogue around biotechnological approaches to addressing climate change. He received his B.A. from Cornell University in 2003 with a degree in biochemistry, got his Ph.D. in molecular biology from Princeton University in 2009, and has worked in science communication and public engagement for more than 15 years. In addition to (or as part of) his day job, Geoff has been known to perform the occasional science rap.
Local Outreach LeadLaura Barnwell
A geologist and educator in sustainability, Laura is passionate about sharing the science behind the causes and effects of climate change. As the owner of ForSoils, she works to actively promote food security through regenerative agriculture and the assessment of healthy soil biology. She spends much of her time with her family and working on their 16-acre farm in New Jersey.
As Treasurer and Board Member of People Planet ImpACT, Allison serves as the board's lead financial steward, ensuring the organization's fiscal health. She also contributes regional insight and strategic perspective to align the organization's work with its broader mission. Outside the boardroom, Allison is a climate communicator and workshop facilitator with experience building outreach programs and community partnerships across her home state of North Carolina.
TreasurerAllison Whitaker
Damien Thiery is a social and circular economy leader and European Climate Pact Ambassador dedicated to accelerating the ecological transition and building a more sustainable and inclusive future. With a background in strategy consulting and finance, he now works across Europe and the United States to advance circular economy solutions, climate literacy, and community action. He is also a Blue Belt Climate Fresk and 2 Tonnes facilitator and instructor, empowering individuals and organizations to understand climate change and take meaningful action.

Katie is marketing professional with experience spanning agency media planning, brand-side growth marketing, and B2B strategy, with a focus on clean energy and climate organizations. A lifelong love of the water shapes her connection to environmental work, and she is thrilled to lead external communications for People Planet Impact.
Anu is a development practitioner dedicated to building a just and equitable climate future defined by resilience and sustainability. As Executive Director, Anu ensures that PPI's mission and vision are executed in alignment with the needs of PPI's audiences. Outside of her work, Anu enjoys local green spaces, farmers markets, and community gardens in her home base of New York City.
